First time here. We got there on a Sunday around 3pm and noticed only 2 people in line outside the door. We figured it wouldn't take to long. 1hour later we finally got our bread. Their French bread (Bolillos) 3 for $1 super delicious!! We did not care for their sweet or savory tamales. Taste was just off. Stick to the bread here but expect a long wait.

Established in 1986 and quickly building a following for faultless French Rolls the line on West Washington Boulevard remains today, an embrace of Pan Dulce and other Hispanic Pastries routinely generating lines so lengthy that independent cooks show up to sell their Tacos and Tamales. Open from 6am daily, a cash only policy expediting things best as possible, it is once inside that hundreds of choices are unveiled ranging from Concha in three colors to various bagged snacks, sweets and beverages. Friendly and efficient with good prices, Breads around $1 and Cake Slices roughly $2.00-3.50, Oreja are crisp with Sugar limited to one side while Yoyo filled with Guava picks up a lot of flavor from Coconut Flakes lining the outside. Not about to forget frosted Cake or Bread Pudding, Raisins suspended in Custard beneath Glaze, Tres Leches remains springy but saturated with Almonds and a thin layer of Cream that eats lighter than most but no less delicious.

I went to a few panaderias looking for a chocoflan cake. Their chocoflan is $30, next cheapest is $35 closer to Downey area. The chocoflan was delicious and size was enough to feed 10 people.

Best bakery flavor wise. The french rolls are so delicious, crunchy and warm on the inside if you go buy when the bread is fresh out the oven. The quesadillas are AMAZING, perfectly savory and sweet, no eggy flavor others have. Although the prices have gone up after covid (inflation cost of materials etc) they haven't sacrificed the flavor and I give lots of props to Julie and her team for that. I'm personally willing to pay a bit more if the flavor stays the same. I agree that customer service isn't the best because the lines are usually super long and they're doing their best to move everyone out quickly. Although sometimes I wish the servers were a bit nicer, at least a hello. ive been coming to the bakery since the french rolls were 5 for $1. This review is to BEG for you to add a card pay option. It's time, it's 2023 people don't carry cash like they used to. The ATM also doesn't work so it's pointless. Please add a card option.
